Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients in one place.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread and place them in the air fryer basket with the buttered side facing down.
  3. Crack each egg into a bowl, keeping the yolks whole, and place one egg on each slice of bread.
  4. Season the eggs with salt and pepper, then place a slice of cheese on top of each egg.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Air fry the toast for 6-8 minutes, checking for doneness.
  6. Remove the toast from the air fryer, let it cool for a minute, and serve with optional toppings.
