Bowtie Pasta
  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta This fun-shaped pasta is perfect for holding onto the creamy sauce.
  • 1 pound ground beef A hearty protein that adds flavor and substance to the dish.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Used for sautéing the onions and garlic, adding a touch of richness.
  • 1 small onion, diced Provides a sweet and savory base for the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic flavor that enhances the overall dish.
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning This spice blend brings a kick of heat and depth to the meal.
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika Adds a subtle smokiness that complements the Cajun flavors.
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper A classic seasoning that enhances the dish's overall taste.
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt Balances the flavors and enhances the dish.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Creates a creamy and rich Alfredo sauce.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds richness and smoothness to the sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Provides a salty, nutty flavor that ties the sauce together.
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley For garnish, adding a pop of color and freshness.

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • pot

Method

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and warm it up. Sauté diced onion for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent. Add minced garlic and ground beef, cooking for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well. Lower heat and add softened cream cheese, stirring until melted. Slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring until smooth. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  3. Cook bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside without rinsing.
  4. Toss cooked bowtie pasta into the skillet with the sauce, mixing gently to coat. If sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to loosen it. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Remove from heat, transfer to serving plates or a bowl, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
