Method
- Prepare the chicken by cooking and shredding it into bite-sized pieces.
- Thaw the frozen waffles and cut them into quarters.
- Layer half of the quartered waffles in a greased baking dish, followed by shredded chicken, half of the cheese, and bacon if using. Repeat the layers and pour the egg mixture over the top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
