Ingredients
  

Chickpeas
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 15 ounces
  • 1/4 cup non-alcoholic ale
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Whole grain bread or wraps for serving

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chickpeas by draining and rinsing them, then mash them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in the non-alcoholic ale, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Blend the mixture in a food processor for a smoother texture if desired.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
