Cinnamon Roll Base
  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing 12.4 oz each
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Maple syrup for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and arrange them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces, ensuring they are well coated. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the mixture.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and set in the center. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with icing and dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm with maple syrup.
