Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic in a skillet for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté any optional vegetables for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Combine cooked beef and vegetables with Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, diced tomatoes, and beef broth in the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  5. Add uncooked pasta and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted.
