Prepare the chicken breasts by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry. Pound the chicken to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg. Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Place the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and spoon marinara sauce over each piece. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
