Ingredients
  

Garlic Butter Spaghetti
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Cheesy Garlic Bread
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1-2 until fragrant.
  3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed. Season with salt, pepper, Parmesan, and parsley.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice French bread in half lengthwise. Mix softened butter, garlic powder, and oregano. Spread on bread and top with mozzarella.
  5. Place bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 until cheese is melted and bubbly.
