Method
 

  1. Cut Hawaiian rolls into 1-inch cubes and place in a greased baking dish. Optionally, sprinkle crushed pineapple over the rolls.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the cubed rolls, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Press down gently and let sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake covered for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Let cool for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with warm maple syrup.
