- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and milk until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Fold in the chopped parsley if using.
- Scoop out heaping tablespoons of the batter and place them aside on a plate.
- Bring your soup to a gentle simmer and carefully drop the dumpling batter into the soup. Cover the pot and let them cook for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
