- Prep your ingredients by measuring the macaroni, chopping the onion, and opening the canned ingredients.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat, then stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, garlic powder, chili powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture.
- Add the cooked elbow macaroni to the skillet and mix well. Transfer to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
