Ingredients
  

Butter and Seasonings
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Gather your softened butter, garlic, salt, black pepper, fresh parsley, fresh thyme, and lemon juice.
  2. Slice off the top of the head of garlic to expose the cloves and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Wrap the garlic in aluminum foil and roast in a preheated oven at 400°F for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Combine the softened butter, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, and lemon juice in a medium bowl.
  5. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into the butter mixture and mash until creamy and smooth.
  6. Transfer the garlic butter onto parchment paper or plastic wrap, roll into a log shape, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
