Ingredients
  

Ribeye Steak
  • 1 pound ribeye steak (1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for searing
  • 2 teaspoons salt for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper for seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped

Method
 

  1. Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat it dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once shimmering, place the steak in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving it.
  3. Flip the steak, add garlic, butter, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet. Baste the steak with the melted butter and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
