  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • to taste Fresh strawberries, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat, then add the mini marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Mix in the Rice Krispies cereal and crushed freeze-dried strawberries until evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, packing it tightly.
  5. Allow to cool for 30 minutes, then cut into squares.
