  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce The star of the dish.
  • 1/4 cup honey Enhances sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic Adds aroma and depth.
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger Brings a warm, spicy note.

Method
 

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in half of the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Place the marinated chicken in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  3. Prepare the teriyaki sauce by whisking together the remaining teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  4. Shred the cooked chicken and mix it with the prepared teriyaki sauce in the slow cooker. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
